Moving out suggestions

Dear All,

I hope you are all coping well with this hot weather. I need your valuable suggestions regarding a matter I'm currently dealing with.

I am leaving Japan after almost 5 years. I earned my PhD here, and I have 2 years of full-time employment and one year of part-time work experience in Japan. Now, I would appreciate it if you could share your experiences on the following matters:

1. Should I announce my move out of Japan?
2. Should I close my bank account, credit card, etc.?
3. If you suggest not closing the bank account, should I inform them of my new address abroad?
4. Most importantly, I am interested in obtaining Japan PR. However, since I need to leave now, is there anything I can do to maintain my eligibility, in case I decide to return in the future?
