Student Visa Question

Hello,

I have been accepted to study at the Shinjuku Language Institute for the 1 year and 6 month beginner program. My term starts on October 1, 2024. I used GoGo Nihon for the process.

I have paid my first set of dues and just waiting for the COE to be issued in which they said will be sent in about 2 weeks. I have also reserved my accommodation (private apartment).

I know the next step is to convert my COE to the actual student visa.

My question is, what is the earliest I can go fly to Japan if my term starts on October 1, 2024. I asked my coordinator with gogo nihon and she said they RECOMMEND 4 days prior to start date. However she did not say it was the school requirement to do that. I would like to fly there sooner than later (thinking about 2 weeks prior to start date) to set me apartment up and get everything set. Will this be okay?

The Japanese embassy in LA said I can fly to Japan once the student visa is issued. My problem is flying there 4 days prior is a bit difficult and 4 days is not enough time to get myself acclimated.
