My apartment is getting demolished, and I'm moving (within Japan) in two weeks. My current AC units are quite old and really are due for a cleaning, but since they are going to be disposed of with the building, I don't want to pay to have them cleaned.
However, I have definitely noticed the effect of some sort of mold on my lungs the past two weeks (shortness of breath), and I'm wondering if there is something else I can do in the meantime aside from cleaning the filters which I already did. It's too spicy out there to not use AC, but also I'm not enjoying this.
Would an air purifier do anything? Any other suggestions?
