So, I've been hoping to take advantage of the JET program to move to Japan after I graduate college. But as I'm getting closer, I realized my graduation doesn't line up with the application deadline; I'll have to wait till next year to apply, which means it'll be at least two more years before I can teach.
In the meantime, I'm looking for other options, and hey maybe even a complete shift in career path. I'll be graduation with an English Degree in creative writing, and while I don't expect to be getting a creative job anytime soon, I've been told that copywriting is a good way to pay the bills with this degree.
So, does anybody know if there are any copywriting opportunities for US foreigners in Japan? I intend to start learning Japanese immediately as soon as I'm free from College, so if language is an issue, I'll already begin working on that anyways. I already have a source of income that's not tied to a job, so starting money and "can't work remotely on X Visa" issues won't be applicable in this case. Maybe I could make use of the tourist Visa to start looking in person? Though I'm not sure where I would start past that.
Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.
