Has anyone used JTB to book their Ghibli Park tickets in advance? They offer two packages:
- Non-premium Ghibli Park tickets as part of a bus tour package that goes to two other museums after Ghibli Park (no hotel)
- Premium tickets + one night hotel stay that is not part of guided tour (transportation not included)
I'm considering getting the premium tickets version just to skip the hassle and stress of buying my own ticket, but their booking calendar is different to the calendar on the Ghibli Park website. They have tickets available on Tuesdays but the park is closed on Tuesdays. Which makes me question the whole thing even though I know JTB is a reputable company. Anyone used them for Ghibli Park before? I am an idiot – of the day you choose is the 1st night of the hotel – the day before Ghibli Park, so everything makes sense!
update: I bought my ticket for December and I'm so happy I don't have to stay up to 2-3am fighting to get a premium ticket online. The price of the JTB package includes the hotel stay ($348 Canadian), and I am more than happy to pay that. Pro tip: if you want to stay in Nagoya after you visit the park, you can contact JTB and they can add an extra night at the hotel (so you keep the same room).
