I would particularly appreciate feedbacks/comments/critiques from people that have visited these places!
Day 1:
– Leave Tokyo early in the morning
– Zao Onsen, visit and onsen
– Yamadera, visit
– Yamagatashi (found a lovely farm stay in the mountains)
Day 2:
– Dewasanzan, visit
– Ginzan onsen, visit and onsen
– Naruko onsen, onsen and sleep there
Day 3:
– Sanriku Fukko National Park
– Visit Kurosaki Senkyo Onsen
– Pass by Miracle Pine
– Visit Kesennuma City Memorial
– Matsushima
– Spend the night in Shiogama (had to find a spot there out of convenience)
Day 4:
– Sendai and spend the morning there
– Visit the Colossus and Zuihoden
– All the way to Itako
Day 5:
– Back to Narita 🙁
A couple of necessary clarification:
– My partner and I both speak enough Japanese not to have to rely on English
– We both drive and are not worried about long hours driving
– That's not our first trip of this kind in Japan but definitely the northernmost
– We do really enjoy onsens
– This trip is just a small section of a 21 days trip in Japan. We are not too worried about the days being too packed as this is pretty standard for our pace.
