I've been to over a hundred shows in Tokyo and have never had to provide ID before at the venue (except when collecting via will call). All of these times, I purchased the ticket myself during the pre-sale or regular sale.
I didn't plan on going to Summersonic, but last minute change of plans allows me to now. Since it's sold out, I'd have to get through Ticketjam. So the name on ticket wouldn't be mine.
I'm sure a few of you have been recently…does Summersonic Tokyo check for name matches? I went 8 years ago and can't remember. Don't think they did…
Also, if anyone is selling a "companion" ticket where we'd walk in together lmk
