To keep it short my wife and I just moved from NY to Tokyo and we’re loving it so far!
But the amount of things we have to do and process is way more complicated than I imagined
Ward office, marriage certificate translation, the 28 hour per week work allowance (I forgot the name of the document!), registering our pet, furniture, language classes… And I feel like taxes and utilities will be a huge thing as well! There are a lot of things, big and small – so I wanted to ask, how long did it take for you and your family to feel truly at ease?
And any tips for quality-of-life/ convenience?
