Three men tried to get into my Airbnb

It’s my first night in Okinawa and something weird just happened.

Three men buzzed us at 5am, it was continuous and in an effort to stop the buzzing, my partner accidentally let them in! They continued up to our floor and proceeded to ring our door bell for about 20 mins before I was able to call the police. I would have called sooner but my SIM card only had data, so I had to get Skype credits and call the police number (not 110).

The police police came over, got the men to leave and then told me that they were just drunks and got the wrong door. This doesn’t track for me and I don’t really feel safe.

Is this a common problem in Okinawa or should I be switching buildings?

Edit: After knocking/ringing for 20 mins, they slept in front of the room for another 20 before the police arrived—just to add more detail.

Edit: My partner is taking responsibility for his blunder and booking us a hotel with 24/7 concierge. Thanks for the support everyone.
