Grammar comparison resources

Do any of you know of a resource around that I can use to compare different grammar points with similar meanings?

I believe I've started into N3 level stuff and it's just packed with similar meanings, most likely with different nuances. My book explains how to use the grammar and it's meaning, but doesn't explain any nuance compared to other similar grammar. So, I feel I can't fully grasp how to use it even if I can use it in a sentence.

My most recent one was this. How is this differing from the second one?
6月は雨が降ってばかりで、嫌ですね。
6月は雨が続いて降って、嫌ですね。

ばかり and 続く are the same, right? Obviously 続く is a verb, but in terms of meaning?
So if any of you know of a resource that I can compare grammar like this would be great. I know of just googling the question, but it's not always there, and usually there are many answers to the question and they are not all correct. I'm needing something more accurate and straight to the point.
