Anyone in Tokyo know where I can get documents officially translated. Like my tax documents such as gensen choshu hyo? Of course I need them to be notarized ? I was wondering if the Canadian embassy in Tokyo can do both things for me.
Any other recommendations I greatly appreciate

You don’t need to officially translate these documents for tax return purposes, FYI
That said, the old embassy website used to have a list of tranlators, but I can’t find it anymore since they updated their website to be one big single page.
Anyway, here’s what they do provide: notarization. If you can find a translator, they have to (after translating the document) go to the embassy to take an oath that their translation is correct in front of an embassy official.
Although this is not strcitly necessary. The Canadian embassy will also accept a notarization by a Japanese government office.
