Are most PS Now games in Japanese only?

Anyone subscribe to PS Now? Debating between getting an xbox or ps5. A lot of the PS games in the store are in Japanese only, while xbox usually has both languages. Anyone have experience? For example Horizon Forbidden West, Last of Us 2, etc.

  1. PS Now no longer exists. If you want a library of games to choose from, select PS Extra or Premium. Premium lets you stream PS3, 2 and 1 games that are available. If the game is available in Japan with English, then it will have English available on PS+. If it isn’t then it will be in Japanese. Usually titles that are made by Western developers such as HFW and Last of Us are available in English. BTW, neither of the titles you asked about are available on Extra or Premium. You will need to buy them. Horizon Zero Dawn is part of the PS+ Collection.

  2. If you are registered in the Japanese PSN store; you’re gonna get Japanese games.

If you want English games, register to the HK store (set location to Singapore) or US store

  3. Lots of English content unless you go for something niche like idol band manager games and stuff most non Japanese people wouldn’t touch

  4. If you have a US address you can sign up for a US PS Store account and get English language games. You’ll have to buy digital US PSN cards from Amazon or PlayAsia to add credits to your account, though, because you can’t pay by credit card or PayPal from abroad.
