Rental apartment cracking in washstand

I live in a company-provided apartment (社宅).

A month ago, I reported a cracking issue with the washstand. I accidentally dropped a glass item, which caused the crack. I admit it was my fault.

I contacted both the apartment management company and my insurance company. Initially, I received a quote from the management company that did not include a model number and was 100% charged (171,325 yen). I then asked for the model number, and the price was adjusted to 149,600 yen, with the explanation that the initial quote included a mirror on the bottom.

I have now discovered that the washstand has a "lifespan" issue. The apartment was built in 2005, and the washstand was available for sale from February 2003 to April 2007. This means the washstand is over 15 years old.

Since the washstand has a lifespan and is already 15 years old, I don't think 149,600 yen is a fair price for me. What should I do about this issue?
