Hotels in Tokyo-how much does location matter?

EDIT: wow was not expecting all these responses! Thank you everyone and please know I am reading each comment!

I’ll be going to Japan for 3 weeks next april and I’ll be starting off in Tokyo. Atm, I’m stuck deciding accommodations. There’s lots I want to do-visit Sanrio Puroland, Tokyo Disney, TeamLabs, check out cherry blossoms (looking into various parks) etc.

It’s not like these are all in the same location and I don’t see the point in jumping hotels (my last couple days I’ll stay in Tokyo again and a different hotel from the first leg).

So just wondering how much does hotel location matter? I know Japan has good public transport so would I be fine to visit almost anything I want via walking and public transport? Would I need to switch hotels a few times or be fine having just a “main” one.
