Attending Osaka University – FrontierLab vs iExPO

Hello everyone. I will be attending Osaka University as an exchange student for the upcoming April – August term. I am currently looking into the iExPO and FrontierLab programs at Osaka and am stuck between the two. I haven't been able to find too much information online regarding the FrontierLab program experience aside from the outline from OU's website.

If anyone has done this program, please let me know if I can take Japanese language courses on the side? And how many courses would one take during a semester doing the FrontierLab program? I read that you usually work in the lab for 8 hours a day. My main goal is for language study, so I want to take Japanese classes.

My current Japanese level is N5, which I took in December 2023. I'm still studying Japanese and plan to take the next JLPT test in December in Japan this time, I will be studying at a language school in Japan starting in September. My goal is to get to N2.

Is the lab work mainly done in English or Japanese?

Thanks everyone.
