I’ve been living in Japan for 5 months (since April) under a working holiday visa and made around ¥450,000 working at Eikaiwas. My manager told me I can visit the tax office before I leave but said I may not be eligible since I lived here for under a year and made less than ¥1,000,000. From others experience, am I eligible to pay taxes and should I go to the tax office before going home in September?
