Itinerary check – 25 days with 18 months old son.

Hi Everybody,

First of all thanks to this community for providing so much info. It has helped me a lot to plan this trip.

My wife (f34), my son (18 months old), and I (m34) will be traveling to Japan for the first time. We will be going there for 25 days (19th of Sept till 14th of Oct.) ,and would like some feedback and (child-friendly) tips on our upcoming trip. I tried not to jampack the itinerary due to traveling with our son ,and want to experience Japanese culture, food, shrines ,and parks.

I will place some questions at the end of the itinerary.

Outline of our trip:
We will leave from Amsterdam on the 19th of sept and will arrive in the afternoon on the 20th in Narita airport.

Questions:

1. Any general feedback or concerns?

2. My son can walk short distances and we will bring a compact stroller. Are there any places that are a no-go with a stroller? (I can carry him for short hikes)

3. I haven't dived into places to eat and it depends on our son's sleep schedule. Are there specific places that are kid-friendly?

4. Glutenfree food/restaurants. My wife has a serious gluten allergy (celiac disease), and we will bring a translation with us. Does anyone experience food in Japan for gluten-free people? Maybe any tips to eat?

5. Wheater in late Sept/early Oct. I have read that it is hot and humid. Any tips to keep it comfortable? (e.g. breathable clothes, fan, etc)
