Me and my two other friends, (All 18M) are going to be taking a trip to Japan in summer of 2025, originally I had planned to have the trip be 10 days, but after discussing with my friends and watching videos online, I decided to make the trip an even 2 weeks.
I have the entire itinerary so far but all I have written down is for 12 days in Japan. Would you recommend I add an extra day onto Tokyo? an extra day trip somewhere else? Or just a day of relaxing?
For reference we will be staying in a mix of airbnbs and hostels, and our budgets (not including accommodations and airfare) will be around $2,000 USD per person

* Sagono railway train (25 minutes)
* Take the Hozugawa river cruise back
* Go to the iwateyama monkey park

* Day trip to Hiroshima and boat ride to Myajima
* Day 3-6/11 (Wednesday)
* Go to Fushimii Inari Shrine @ 6:30AM
* Go to a cat cafe
* Take a bus to uji
Osaka
* Day 1-6/12 (Thursday)
* Wake up, pack from hotel and take Kyo-train Garaku to Osaka
* Universal Studios Japan (Opens@9)
* Day 2-6/13 (Friday)
* Bus to Nara
* Isui-en Garden
* Todai-Ji Temple
* Nakatanidou (mochi)
* Bus back to Osaka
* Osaka Aquarium
* Tempozan Ferris Wheel
* Day 3-6/14 (Saturday)
* Wake up early, go to a temple, eat happy pancakes
* Find a hiking trail (Mt. Koya)
* Day 4-6/15 (Sunday)
* Take the bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo, then go home
