Currently planning my second trip to Japan and as an attempt to get a bit off the beaten path (relatively) while still seeing the basics of a second visit, we are planning to explore Kyushu besides Fukuoka.
One of the things we are really looking forward to is to find a ryokan with a private onsen and I was wondering if you have any suggestions for a budget per night up to 35k yen. We will have a car so if the place is somewhere in nature or a small town that is not that visited (hence a lower price), even better!
Alternatively, an onsen where we can book a private experience could also work.
