I'm going for 14ish days! Would love any feedback.
Tokyo
Day 1: Arrive in afternoon, go to ryokan in Asakusa, explore senso-ji and walk around.
Day 2: Toro no Ichi festival in Asakusa! Explore Ueno Park, go to Tokyo National Museum, and then hit some arcades and stores in Akihabara.
Day 3: Arrive at hotel in Shinjuku. Explore Shinjuku, Shibuya, Harajuku.
Day 4: Team Lab Planets! Free Explore Day (hit up Harajuku if I missed it day before, tsujiki market maybe). recommendations for this day would be great!
Kyoto
Day 5: Arrive in Kyoto. Go to Kimono Tea ceremony and calligraphy. Explore! (Nushiki marry, yasaka jinji shrine, potoncho alley)
Day 6: Romantic train to Arashiyama with the boat ride back. Bamboo Grove, Otagi Nengutsu-ji temple, Gio-ji, Nison-in, Jojakko-ji temples. POTENTIAL hike? Kuya Falls Hike or Ninna Ji Pilgrammage (an hour long)
Day 7: Fushimi Inari in morning. Travel to Uji! Go to oldest tea shop in the world, Explore Uji, grab breakfast and lunch. >Return to Kyoto and explore (Tenjuan Temple)
Day 8: Travel to North Kyoto for Yoroi Kizome-shiki samurai festival! Walk to Genko-an Temple to see chitengo, (potential tour this day?) Return and see philosophers path, Roman Falls Hike, Kinkaky-ji Temple.
Osaka
Day 9: Arrive at Osaka! Explore dotonbori; osaka station (studio ghibli stores), Shinsekai, explore. Must eat takoyaki and okonomiyaki
Day 10: ??? A little up in the air. Thinking of going to Minoo falls and do the waterfall hike or go to Katsuo-ji temple to see the little darumas. Advice would be great!
Atami
Day 11: Arrive in Atami, explore shops and grab legendary pudding. Explore plum garden. Take shuttle and stay at Ryokan.
Day 12: ??? A little unsure. Could explore Izu peninsula but worried I may be exhausted. Could go back to Tokyo. Could explore Atami more, walk ocean and then go back to Tokyo. Advice.
TOKYO
Day 13: explore tokyo, grab souvenirs, do whatever my heart wants on my last full day.
Day 14: Enjoy breakfast and leave for airport.
