Ok, this is incredibly stupid:
I know condoms in theory are sold in drug stores/combini/Don Quijote. I've been to multiple establishments and I can't find them. And when I ask staff, they either don't know what I'm asking for or point me to combs????
For reference : I'm not fluent in Japanese at all but my accent is pretty good and I know how to ask for stuff. I keep looking up how to say it and it is appaarently "コンド-ム" and I know I'm saying this????? I am so confused.
Edit: props to the people who are actually helpful as opposed to the folks just saying "they're everywhere / how can you not know they're called ゴムeven though your phone dictionary/translator say コンド-ム."
