Japanese pun names

I love puns and I know that in a lot of anime that the author will make a character's name be a pun about something, or just name them a noun in japanese like "midori-ya" "momo-ko"
and I was wondering if you can just add a "こ" or something and it becomes a name?
like how do you make a pun name in japanese? idk if I explained it correctly.
