Asking because Reddit will give honest answers..
I just got my GCSE results (not sure what this would equate to for other countries) and I may have to retake the psychology exam. It means so much to me and has been my favourite subject for years, so I would prefer to retake it over sitting a subject I don't like.
I'm very conscious, however, that Japan is a rather academically-inclined country, and I already have doubts seeing as retaking a subject here isn't viewed in a positive light.
I was thinking that, because GCSEs are only a stepping stone to A-Levels, which contribute way more to university acceptance, would they view exam retakes so negatively? Or would my final grade in A-Level be more relevant?
I've always wanted to do a career related to psychology, as well as study in Japan, so Sophia University stuck out to me the most, but I know that Reddit will give me an honest answer as to whether I can actually do it even still!
[please tell me if I used the wrong flair!!]
