Missed my re entry date

As title states.

I left Japan last year and my re entry ran out last month. (unable to go back due to circumstances).

I thought I had more time due to mis reading this this

My work visa doesn;t end until 2026, so am I totally out of luck and need to start again, or can i go as a tourist and do something that way?
