Would love some feedback on 6-day itinerary for Tokyo and Kawaguchiko

Hi everyone! I'd love to get some feedback on our vacation plan for Tokyo and Kawaguchiko. It'll be our first time visiting the Kanto region, so we want to make the most of it.

There are two main things we're curious about:

  1. Is our schedule too packed? ( I put the ⚠️ emoji where I have some concerns )
  2. Are there any must-see spots around Tokyo and Kawaguchiko that we might be missing?

We'd really appreciate any other tips or suggestions too!

Date: 20 – 25 Dec 2024 (We'll take a night flight from Bangkok on the 19th)

Dec 20 – Spending time shopping before hotel check-in

  • Arrives at Narita Aiport in the morning.
  • Travel by train to Ueno.
  • ⚠️Spend time shopping around Ueno (Okachimachi) and Akibahara until 1:30 PM.
  • Check-in at the hotel in the Minato area.
  • Travel and arrive at the Meiji Shrine around 3 PM.
  • Spend the evening in the Shibuya area (We plan to visit Shibuya Sky)

Dec 21 – Day Trip to Gala Yuzawa

  • Travel early in the morning to Gala Yuzawa.
  • Travel back to Tokyo and spend the evening walking around Ueno.

Dec 22 – Tokyo Disneyland

  • Travel early in the morning to Tokyo Disneyland.
  • Maybe visit the Tokyo Tower in the evening if we're not too tired.

Dec 23 – Travel to Kawaguchiko

  • Check out from the hotel.

  • Travel back to the hotel to check in in the evening.

Dec 24 – Explore Lake Kawaguchiko area

  • ⚠️This day is dedicated to exploring the Kawaguchiko area. We're planning to visit Lake Kawaguchiko, Kawaguchiko Tenjozan, and travel all the way to Kawaguchiko Asama.

Dec 25 – Travel to Narita airport to catch an evening flight

  • Travel back to Narita airport to catch a 5 PM flight back to Bangkok.

Preferences :

  • We're planning to get the Tokyo Wide Pass for the first 1-3 days and rely only on public transport and buses. Would love to know if there are more suitable travel pass options for our plan.

Thank you guys in advance,
