I have been trying to educate myself, and found it strange that some funds have a negative alpha for a ten-year period. If I have understood correctly, it means there is underperformance compared to benchmarks. Again, if my understanding is correct, what is going on here?
Is this poor management the reason investing here is a bad idea? Even my bank suggested sending all the money overseas was a better idea.
