Day 5. Shirakawa
- Takayama Old Town shop and stroll
- 13:50 Bus to Shirakawa
- Check in at Shiroyamakan
- Afternoon/ Early Evening tour of Shirakawa led by the hotel staff
Day 6. Kanazawa
- Shirakawa Observation deck
- Tour a minshuku
- 10:25 bus to Kanazawa
- Omicho Market
- Geisha Tea Ceremony in Kazuemachi
- Check into hotel in Higashi Chaya
- Poke around town

Day 8. Nara
- Omicho Market for breakfast/lunch
- 10:04 train to Nara
- Check in to hotel
- Todaiji and Kofuku-ji Temples.
- Walk through and around the park
- Dinner at hotel
- Sarusawa Pond
Day 9: Koyasan
- 10:30 train to Koyasan
- Explore area
- Check-in at shukubo
- Ajikan meditation and relaxation
- Vegetarian dinner at shukobo
- Okunoin Temple and Night Cemetery Tour
Day 10: Miyajima (This is the only negotiable night)
9:07 train to Hiroshima
- Peace Memorial Park
- Ferry to Miyajima
- Check-in at ryokan
Notes:
– The next 9 nights are split between Kyoto (5nights), Hakone(2nights), and Tokyo(2 nights).
– I am forwarding luggage from Tokyo to Kanazawa, Kanazawa to Kyoto, and Kyoto to Tokyo
- I'm still not entirely certain about Shirakawa and Miyajima. I know it would make the trip easier to skip one or the other (or both), so I'll take any advice based on your own experiences.
