So last year I travel around Japan and felt that I would want to try staying in a place longer than be jumping around.
This year I'll be going to Japan for a month, and since I love to go to some concerts, I'll stay in Tokyo for one month.
I'm planing in someday trips and going to some places that I might even stay overnight for concerts, for example Osaka.
But I want to have a Tokyo base, since I don't wanna be losing time with checking in and out or carrying luggage/ luggage forward services.
I noticed that the apartments outside Central Tokyo aren't only cheaper, but have way better size and quality.
I'm thinking in confort over convenience but at the same time, is 1H away from Central Tokyo to much?
Since I'll probably go there daily, I'm not a night lifer so the last train back isn't a problem since concerts don't normaly end late.
I'm just thinking that 1h per day in going to Central Tokyo (Shinjuku), or even to commute to other city, might end up beeing to much.
Even if I'm getting around 400 euro less in the apartment with way better quality and confort.
The apartment has a room with king size bed, washing machine, kitchen, all you can ask.
I'm a solo traveler.
I'm looking for tips and someone that might already have experienced this.
EDIT: Thank you so much for your feedback! I think I'll pay extra and stay around Koto. Since its 7m walk to the station, 15m to Akihabara and 30m to Shinjuku without transfer.
Other option is Sugamo with a shared bathroom but close to Yamanote Line.
