Just so tired of where I'm at in the U.S. have lived all around the country – just not satisfying. Have always been fascinated with Japan and their culture. I don't need to live right in a big city like Tokyo.
For the U.S. equivalent, I'd be fine needing a 15-20min drive to the closest Wal*Mart. I'd even consider a motorized scooter or regular bicycle if I lobed close enough to work, etc.
I'm modest. I don't need much. What I dislike are loud neighbors – I'm a really light sleeper. Also, would obviously not want a high crime rate.
Not sure how it is in Japan living-wise, but A/C and heat would be needed.
Is it like America where I'd need like 20-30% down to avoid PMI and that BS? Could I find what I'm looking for, for ~$150,000 USD?
