My Japanese S.O. does this all the time. I get it, considering the limited 2 days per week we can dispose of trash outside (especially since it's just one this week thanks to the Obon holiday) and of course the crazy heat we're dealing with, that you wouldn't want to leave food garbage outside for too long, which would attract insects and rodents. But it also means we can't store as much real food in the freezer and it kind of feels unsanitary that the good food is sitting next to tied up bags of food garbage. What's your opinion?
