Hello! I’m still fairly new to Japanese(i know hirigana and katakana along with a few kanji, and some basic things like introducing myself, asking for directions, and talking about past experiences, etc) with most Japanese dubs I can understand around 60% without subtitles, a lot more if I’m familiar with the source material, because of this, I like going back to my favorite tv shows and movies to see if they have Japanese dubs to practice listening.
Onto the main topic, recently I was watching the Japanese dub for the new Hazbin Hotel series, and I could follow along pretty well with what most everyone was saying, but the minute Alastor got on screen I blanked, could barely distinguish the words he saying, let alone the meaning.
Anyways I was wondering if he was speaking in another dialect(besides Tokyo) or if it’s just the distortion that’s throwing me off
