I'm currently in Tokyo and I'm planning to bring Kitkats, and other chocolates home with me to Canada for friends and my workplace. I'm a bit worried, the snacks might melt sitting in my suitcase the whole day, as you all know, it's really hot in here. After Tokyo, I'm also going to Korea, and the Philippines, and will spend around 5 days in each country. I will also not have access to aircon in the Philippines 24/7 as I will be staying at relatives house. My suitcase is made of hard plastic.
Is it worth the risk buying Kitkats if they will sit for another 2.5 weeks before I get back home? Note that my return flight to Canada will be via Narita airport so I was thinking of buying them there instead.
