I'll be in Japan on the 25th of September then leaving on the 8th of October. I'm going to go up and down the east coast and will try and visit most of the major cities like Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima and then go back to Tokyo at the end of it for the departing flight. This is just a rough idea of what I'm going to do I haven't fully done all the logistics of connecting travel between each city yet. I'm just getting a sense of what I want to do and looking at hotels in each city and where I should stay.

I'm wondering what the best option would be to travel from Hiroshima to Tokyo? Because I need to be back before the 8th of October. I know it can be a long trip. I'm just weighing up if I should use Shinkansen or another train? Because I know the Shinkansen can be expensive.
