We are very busy planning our itinerary for coming november!
We had a few questions regarding getting around, since public transport might be a bit of a hassle around Matsumoto/the alps.
We have the idea to take the bus from Shinjuku to Matsumoto, rent a car and drive to Happo Pond and Togakushi shrine. In the evening we will explore Matsumoto. The second day we wanted to go to Norikura Kogen and do the Tsumago – Magome trail and back to Matsumoto and hand in the car. The next morning we want to go to Kamikochi by public transport, explore, possibily stay the night and go to Takayama the next morning.
Few questions:
- Are there coin lockers/baggage rooms in Kamikochi (in case we won't spend the night and want to drop off our backpack)
- Do people know if Happo pond, Norikura Kogen, Tsumago-Magome trail and Togakushi are easily accessable by public transport in the first week of november (we want to go to Happo and Togakushi on 4th of november and Tsumago-Magome and Norikura on the 5th?
