I’m gonna be in sapporo for a week for work. I’d like to ask you guys for any recommendation for good food here. Im hoping something a little local and different from Osaka food. Definitely not fine dining tho.
try some soup curry and ramen there, you should be able to find plenty of restaurants for that
Daruma Genghis Kahn is great, worth queuing
Also hanamasa nerumo kaiten sushi is fantastic, if you try it make sure to get your line ticket one or two hrs ahead
Also the Sapporo beer museum is worth checking out, especially if you can read some Japanese
My favorite miso ramen is yoshiyama shoten, you can find it at esta, sapporo station. Shimijimi shijimi ramen at ramen corridor susukino. A nice sushi bar at makomanai, far from the center, is called Asahi sushi. Sai kaku is a really nice izakaya near susukino, good lunch. There is an hotel near susukino station (the knot, I think) that offers a fantastic breakfast, on the other side of the road from megadonki.
Hanamaru sushi at the station was great or if you’re able to visit Otaru that was a nice half day trip too.
I went for the first time this summer! Can recommend soup curry at Garaku. Also, Mingus is a cool coffee shop with jazz and dessert.
Try the Sapporo and Hokkaido subs. A little closer to home, they may have more unique recommendations.
