Investing as a foreign student

Hello everyone, I'm a foreign student who currently lives and studies at graduate level in Japan. Lately I have been thinking if I could use my time here to invest some money.

Financial condition: I have about 200k yen in savings. I save about 40 to 30k yen per month from my income (maybe double if I can find an aribaito x.x).

Question: do you think I can invest in stocks or mutual funds with this amount of money? and if so how do i begin?
