12 Day Itinerary. Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka

Hey everyone. This will be my first time going to japan, and i will be going solo. I will be there from sep 9-20, and have tried my best to plan out to the best of my ability so far. Lots of restaurants have been bookmarked on google maps, so i always have a few places i can go to while i go from attraction to attraction. Any tips would be appreciated.

Day 1: Tokyo
Land at 4:30 PM at Narita Airport
Take the Skyliner to Ueno
Check in at the hotel
Dinner near the hotel in Ueno

Day 2: Tokyo
Visit Ueno Park
Explore Ueno Toshogu Shrine
Visit Shinobazunoike Bentendo and Kiyomizu Kannon-do
Stop by Ueno Daibutsu
Stroll through Yanaka Ginza

Day 3: Tokyo
Visit Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa
Explore Akihabara
Visit Yurakucho and Ginza
Walk around the Imperial Palace

Day 4: Tokyo → Kyoto
Check out of the hotel in Tokyo
Breakfast before boarding the train to Kyoto
Check in at the hotel in Gion, Kyoto
Explore Gion and possibly visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple (optional)
Evening stroll through Pontocho

Day 5: Kyoto
Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine
Visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple (if not visited on Day 4)
Explore Uji

Day 6: Kyoto
Explore Arashiyama and the Bamboo Forest
Visit Tenryu-ji Temple
Optional: Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market, or Yasaka Shrine (if time permits)

Day 7: Kyoto → Osaka
Visit Nijo Castle, Nishiki Market, and Yasaka Shrine (if not visited on Day 6)
Arrive in Osaka in the evening, check in at the hotel in Namba
Explore Dotonbori at night

Day 8: Osaka
Take a day trip to Nara
Return to Osaka for nightlife

Day 9: Osaka → Tokyo
Have a final meal in Osaka
Head back to Tokyo, check in at the hotel in Shinjuku
Nightlife in Kabukicho

Day 10: Tokyo
Relax and explore Shinjuku and Shibuya
Nightlife in Shinjuku/Golden Gai

Day 11: Tokyo
Spend the day shopping in Shibuya
Visit Roppongi

Day 12: Tokyo
Flight at 6:30 PM
Prepare for departure to Narita
Last meals and last-minute shopping before departure
