NTT Hikari AGAIN!

Sorry for yet another internet post today.

Received my router from NTT yesterday and was told that everything would be activated today.

The previous tenant had used Hikari themselves so we only received the router and went ahead and just plugged everything.

My PC and phone can see that the router is available but I have not been able to connect all day long.

Any advice?

  1. I don’t know which fiber type is being used but the paperwork which likely arrived before the router should have come with login details and qr code. From there you connect your computer/phone to the wifi router, log into the network and set things up.

  2. Are your devices using the correct wi-fi password for the router? Is POPoE properly configured on your router to connect to your ISP?

Look for t he paperwork from ISP. It will contain login credentials for PPPoE.

What is the model# of the device you received from NTT? For sure there are default logins printed somewhere on a label.

  4. I got in!

I had to less the small restart button in order to do so after using the qr code.

I am connected to the router and see an error messages that maybe tells me to go into settings, but clocking that button gets me to an error page where it says aterm.me refused to connect.
