Hi, we are visiting in February for the snow and are visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto aswell.
I would love you insight on our itinerary. I am aussie so the date format is DD/M
29/1 – 4/2 – TOKYO
4/2- 7/2 – OSAKA
7/2-8/2 – SHINJUKU (FOR ACCESS TO HAKUBA)
8/2 – 14/2 – HAKUBA
Wednesday 29/1 – Fly out of Australia, direct flight to Narita Airport. Arrive 6:30pm. Take limousine bus to Kabukicho and check in to hotel. Go out and get some food.
Thursday 30/1 – Harajuku and Shibuya: Visit Meiji Jingu, Takeshita street square, Togo shrine and cat street. From here, take a break and then around sunset head to Shibuya sky and scramble crossing. Explore Shibuya, get dinner.
Friday 31/1 – Teamlabs, Ginza and Akihabara: Teamlab planets, Manten sushi for lunch, Imperial Palace, Akihabara electric town, depending on how we are feeling do shinjuku golden-gai
Saturday 1/2 – Yanesen: Explore the area, return to shinjuku in the arvo and do JDM car tour
Sunday 2/2 – Kichioji: Explore shopping districts, go to Shirohige cream puff and then Inokashira park, back to Shinjuku for the evening
Monday: 3/2 – Asakura: Senso-ji, Nakamise-dori street, Tokyo Skytree, explore area
Tuesday 4/2 – OSAKA: Travel from Tokyo to Osaka in the morning, drop bag to hotel in Shinsaibashi, Kuromon market, Namaba Yasaka Shrine, Osaka castle grounds (not inside), Umeda sky for sunset, Dotonbori
Wednesday 5/2 – OSAKA: nothing planned for this day so far, either continue to explore Osaka or go to fuji? Advice appreciated
Thursday 5/2 – KYOTO DAY TRIP: Take early train, 7:00am arrival in kyoto, walk to Kiyomizu-dera, Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka, Kodaiji Temple, Gion, Fushimi Inari (finish around 6pm, head back to Osaka)
Friday 7/2 – Head back to Shinjuku, this is so we can get the direct train from Shinjuku to Hakuba early in the morning on 8/2.
Saturday 8/2 – arrive in Hakuba and drop bags at hotel. Go Hire ski gear. Then go and make dinner reservations
9/2 – 12/2 – Ski across Hakuba
Thursday 13/2 – Snow Monkey Park tour
Friday 14/2 – Take train from Hakuba to Narita and fly home for 9:00pm departure.
If you have any recommendation/advice it will be appreciated.
ALSO, how acceptable is it to use google translator for daily convos, i will learn some basic phrased, but for other convos.
