My bf and I will go to Japan for 4 weeks in mid September – mid October. Our planned itinerary is as following, but I am open to suggestions:
Tokyo – 5 nights
Kawaguchi – 2 nights
Takayama – 3 nights
Kyoto – 3 nights
Osaka – 4 nights
Koyasan – 2 nights
Okinawa – 5 nights
Tokyo – 3 nights
Do you think this is the perfect way of combining city scapes (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka) with some local culture, nature and hiking (Lake Kamaguchi, Takayama, Koyasan)? And is Okinawa a good beach/chill place to stay at to finish our trip? Or can we better stay somewhere else? I am looking for a bit Uluwatu/Byron Bay vibe with nice beach weather in October. If Okinawa is a good choice, which place on the island is the best to stay?
