does anyone know why people like grandparents or an older professor will, when writing an email in english, include aggressive seeming use of bold and/or red words. lots of periods and exclamation/question marks too
and then they don’t do this when writing an email in japanese. i know they’re not actually being aggressive, it just comes off that way to me as a young american person, but does anyone know why? and why only in english lmao?
