I taught in Korea for a few years. One of the things I really liked about it was the ability to work in the afternoons and to have short work hours. I worked 2-9 and 3-9:30 …It's fairly easy to find hours around this, and it's possible to even find jobs that are only 6 hours, like 2-8 or 3-9.
I'm wondering if these sorts of hours are possible to find in Japan? One thing that frustrates me is that I've almost never seen a job posting in Japan that includes what the work hours are. They might say "40 hours a week" or "25 teaching hours" or something, but they don't tell you when those hours are. I've had a couple interviews and they turned out to be 12-9 and 2-10.
Anyways, I'm just curious, is it possible to find hours closer to what I was working in Korea? Or is every job going to be 8+ a day?
