Hi everyone! I’m so lucky to get the chance to stay in Japan for two weeks. During these two weeks, I will be in Kyoto and would love to rent a kimono for the experience. I have reserved the earliest opening in the morning in Okamoto Kiyomizu-dera kimono rental but was a bit worried because the kimono options seem quite limited for taller women (I am 173cm). I was really hoping to have the option to choose from a larger range (adore the elegant, quieter patterns)… Can anyone speak of their experience with renting kimono as a taller woman? Or give any recommendations? I’m probably overthinking this but can’t help but feel jealous when I see the huge variety of choice available for those under 170cm 🙁
