What’s this darker part in the salmon? Not quite sure what this could be.

  1. That is the skinside of the salmon. Nothing wrong with that and perfectly safe to eat.

  2. Dark bits on salmon are either bloodline or the fat between the skin and muscle. Both should be removed.

    That looks like fat in the picture.

  3. Looks like it’s maybe a bloodline to me? Safe to eat but generally removed for sushi

  4. It’s the part closest to the skin and it’s fine. Most chefs will cut it off for presentation but it’s not harmful.
