Hello!
I’m a senior in the U.S. Thinking of applying to fall-admission programs at Tsukuba & Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) for English undergrad programs bc I have Japanese citizenship.
I’ve done a lot of research but one thing I just can’t find is what scores are competitive. I know there’s not a lot of info on it in general… but does anybody have any information on good stats for international students/帰国子女 or English undergrad programs at these (or even other) universities?
For reference, I have a 1520 SAT, 4.0 unweighted GPA & some relevant APs (chem, physics, calc), decent extracurriculars and I also speak Japanese fluently (if that even matters?). Haven’t taken TOEFL yet but I don’t think it will be a problem because English is basically my native languge.
I got dejected seeing some universities accept only 3-5 people a year for these kinds of programs so I wanna hear some thoughts, anything is helpful! Thank you!
