Hey everyone, I've got an opportunity to go do a master's degree in Hiroshima University with a scholarship that covers all daily and rent expenses, but not the admission or tuition fees, so I would have to take a part time job during my stay. I've been searching the internet for information about the city but haven't found much.
Has anyone lived in Higashi Hiroshima or studied in HU? How is the city as a foreigner? And what kind of part time jobs can I get there if I'm not fluent in japanese yet?
I would appreciate a lot any opinions or experiences of the city, the university or the research and study environments of HU you have:)
As an extra, I personally like music a lot and would like to go to concerts or electronic music clubs occasionally. Also, I'm a little concerned about the cultural change in making friends there in Japan coming from a country where people is very warm.
