So I found a house in Japan (rental through an agency) that was built in 1975 and renovated this year back in July through August. I am very interested but in the housing documents presented to me it basically said the house hasn’t been tested for asbestos and it’s entirely possible it contains it.
It goes on to say that it isn’t a health hazard in daily life since it’s not kicked up by normal living except during renovations (which just occurred) but that they have to warn me. I’m concerned here. What can I do? Request test? Assume it has it and move on to another property? How can I be sure the next one won’t have it?
