When the new AYCE sushi restaurant had issues with wait times. Sashimi is from our local Japanese supermarket, tastes better than some of the restaurants here and cost $25 per person. All this food was more than enough for 7 people, and cost an average of $35 per person (the restaurant we wanted to go to would have been easily $60-70 after tip). We also used a blow torch to make some flamed nigiris (I know the ratio of rice is high but we were trying to finish everything). Mix of Japanese, Korean, and American style. Huge success, will host again!
