  1. Is this sort of scam more common in Japan than North America, or is it just in the news more?

    I feel like I hear about it a lot here, but maybe I just didn’t pay attention to the news back home.

  3. This doesn’t just happen in Japan, I don’t know why but these type of romance scams are extremely popular in South east Asia.
