I'll be traveling from Japan to the US next month and wanted to ask if anyone has recommendations for diapers in the US?
Currently using Goon Big size pull up style during the day and the Doraemon big size night diapers. Anyone know what is comparable?
Also trying to figure out travel insurance, including health insurance in the case of an emergency as the US is expensive (to say the least). Anything recommendations?

I liked the Pampers Cruisers 360 they were the most similar to Japanese diapers when I visited in 2023. I hate tape diapers and most of the diapers available are tape…my kid was also too young for pull-ups.
I think I just brought a pack of nighttime diapers from Japan and used one a night. I’m sure they sell nighttime diapers though.
When I was in the states last my LO was about 10 months old. We used pampers pull ups but we noticed that the diapers had a fragrance to them that can be a bit overbearing. Sizes are pretty much comparable. Also, I don’t think their sizes go by weight but rather the age of the kid? I could be wrong as it’s been almost a year now. We didn’t use any night time diapers as the regular diapers have always worked fine for us at night.
My son was 7 – 10 months old when I stayed in the US for 3 months, I tried the Target brand diapers and they were what I stuck to. They were very good and I hardly had any leaks.
I used IMG travel insurance, cheap and had no issues, but I didn’t need to submit a claim or visit a clinic, so I cannot comment on that part but it was easy to sign up
I used hop travel assist for my parents last year when they visited us here in US. It was pretty good and I got no problem about claims, they were responsive. There was little issue with the provider not sending the bills correctly so there was a small delay but they followed up immediately.
